The Promo Loco wishes to promote the Arab-Norman Castle of Calatabiano.

The castle of Calatabiano includes the whole history of the Mediterranean civilizations: Greek settlement, Byzantine Fortress and later Arab-Norman castle.
Discover it through its Archeological Path and Multimedia Museum. The area is surrounded by the Mount Etna, Taormina and the sea; definitely its outstanding scenery will fascinate you.

Winter visiting hours:
Tuesday-Friday: 9.00-17.30 (Last admission 30 minutes before closing time)
Saturday and Sunday: 9.00-20.00 (Last admission 30 minutes before closing time)

Special packages for school

Our project, aimed at Comprehensive schools, intends to narrate our own roots. And we wish to achieve this through a long-lasting organization, which preserves and promotes the folk memory. The Promo Loco hopes to introduce pupils and adults to the Churches, Castles, and Works of Art of Calatabiano.
